We believe in lowering the barriers for small and hobby farmers, so listings are free. There are also no commissions or hidden costs when you buy through the site. Any purchase or arrangement you make is between you and the farmer directly – we’re just here to help you find each other. (Buying direct also means your money goes straight to the farmer, which is the whole point!)

I’m a small farmer – how do I get my farm listed?
Welcome! Listing on Farm2Local is simple: click the “List Your Farm” button and you’ll be guided through creating a profile. You can add a description of your farm, list the products you have (and update them as seasons change), and set your location so users can find you on the map. It’s completely free and only takes a few minutes to set up. Once your listing is live, local shoppers will be able to see it when they search radius area. You’ll handle the actual sale directly with the customer (for example, they might message you or come to your farm – whatever contact method you provide). Tech tip: If you ever need help with your listing, we’re here for you – but we’ve designed the system to be as easy as sending an email. No tech expertise needed.

Why I Created Farm2Local.

Coming from a construction background and stepping into farming later in life, I quickly realized how hard it can be for farmers to connect directly with the people in their community. Being new to farming, I saw a real need for a better way to bridge the gap between farmers and local families. So I created Farm2Local to change that. This app is about more than food — it’s about rebuilding community connections. By creating a simple, direct way for people to buy from local farms, Farm2Local ensures farmers are supported fairly, and families have access to fresh, affordable, and trusted produce straight from the source. My vision is to bring people back together — farmers and neighbours, rural and urban — to strengthen community ties, reduce food miles, and make sure the food on our tables has a story and a face behind it. Farm2Local isn’t just an app; it’s a step toward reconnecting Australians with the land, with farmers, and with each other.
